KONY 2012 – part two

Hi all

I thought I would add a few more accounts, opinions and reactions of the the whole KONY 2012 affair that has blown up in the last few days. I did my own update and put it on my blog after inspired by the video. After a couple of days of listening to other people, I’ve reflected and I have mixed feelings about the whole thing now. I have heard there are some incorrect some things about dates and when things happened in the video. But then I heard from a Ugandan friend who said that Kony is “a big bastard”. It’s very interesting. I have never seen such a man hunt via social network websites. Nonetheless, Kony really should be stopped from doing what he is doing, whether this is from Western African governments or the yanks. I wonder if we will anything like this again. And I wonder what will happen with other wrong-do’ers in the world if Americans do react. There are quite a few things to ponder.

I really should stop pondering and return to looking for a f–king job.

I have tried to find three different opinions on Youtube. Enjoy.

About Nicholas Rogers

I am an English journalist/copywriter living in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and I have been here since 2011. I originally came to work with Casa Alianza, which supports street kids and vulnerable youths. I then stayed on, after meeting Pamela Cruz Lozano, who calls me her adopted Catracho. I work freelance journalism and I have my own translation business. Why did I come here? For the challenge, to open my mind and get out of my comfort zone. I love literature and I've written a book with street kids. I write novels, short stories and poetry, all of which you will find on this blog, as well as a lot of information about Honduras. View all posts by Nicholas Rogers
