Even though I try to promote Tegucigalpa in most my updates, I do get the odd pulsing craving to escape the place once in a while, although I think most have a need to escape routine, so what I am saying is neither original or of much news to anyone. In the weekend just passed I got to fulfil something of a small dream I’ve had in a while, which was to visit Omoa on the north coast in the Cortes region, but for whatever reason before the weekend, I’ve not had the chance. I will go more into depth in the next update.
The other day on facebook, I saw the beautiful below statememt on a page called Humble the Poet, which I like to read occasionally.
As you can expect, someone named Humble the Poet has probably already written a poem about this quote. He puts a nice slant on things, and he speaks with compassion and a certain kind of serenity that I admire. I like the quotation above a lot whether he wrote it or not. It’s powerful. It’s true. And it’s inspired me to write the poem below. It’s meant to be read fast, not massively in depth, some cheesy lines to be giggled at, but it has an important message which is in the title of the poem itself. Just simply, Love Yourself. Advice that everybody should follow. Enjoy!
Love yourself because you do,
Love yourself because you love to.
Love yourself and you’ll feel new,
Love yourself and the person next to you.
Love God if that’s your passion,
Love yourself like it’s the latest fashion.
Love yourself and shout it loud,
Love yourself and stand up and be proud.
Love yourself and don’t care what they say,
Love yourself like a horse loves hay.
Love yourself and love the way you look,
Love yourself like your favourite book.
Love yourself and pass the vibe on,
Love yourself and think yourself as a Don.
Love yourself even if negative things take place,
Love yourself and say it to your bosses face.
Love yourself and forgive yourself for your faults,
Love yourself even if it insults.
Love yourself and be compassionate to others,
Love yourself and it’ll attract a million lovers.
Love yourself and laugh at the disappointments you’ve had,
Love yourself and make your tormentors mad.
Love yourself, be yourself and wear your heart on your sleeve,
Love yourself and you know you’ll achieve.
Love yourself as it’s good for your health,
Love yourself because it’s more important than financial wealth.
So Love Yourself, whoever you are,
Love yourself and you know you’ll go far.
