Prayers – part two

Dear readers,

More prayer practice today, people, and today’s peaceful little number comes probably the most well known prayer on the planet: the Lord’s Prayer. I had it drilled into me as a kid, at school assemblies and Cub Scouts. This one isn’t too hard to remember. The Apostles Creed is a humdinger, no disrespect to the Lord Himself, but it is.

Nonetheless, the Lord’s Prayer.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in Heaven.
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give this day our daily bread,
And give us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
And the power, and the glory,
Forever and ever,
Amen.

About Nicholas Rogers

I am an English journalist/copywriter living in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and I have been here since 2011. I originally came to work with Casa Alianza, which supports street kids and vulnerable youths. I then stayed on, after meeting Pamela Cruz Lozano, who calls me her adopted Catracho. I work freelance journalism and I have my own translation business. Why did I come here? For the challenge, to open my mind and get out of my comfort zone. I love literature and I've written a book with street kids. I write novels, short stories and poetry, all of which you will find on this blog, as well as a lot of information about Honduras. View all posts by Nicholas Rogers
